Declared religious affiliation
According to the Pew Research Center's 2023–2024 Religious Landscape Study, 63% of American adults identify as Christian — around 40 points of them Protestant (evangelical, mainline and historically Black churches combined) and 19% Catholic — while 30% say they have no religion (nothing in particular, agnostic or atheist).
